Here are some examples of TCC and Kalau phrases.

| Oki orangnya lucu. | Oki is funny. |
| Tempatnya jauh. | The place is far away. |
| Bengkulu tempatnya indah. | Bengkulu is a nice place. |
| Rumahnya bagus. | It's a nice house. |
| Di Kota Tua rumahnya bagus-bagus. | The houses are nice in the Old City. |
| Kalau besok gimana? | How about tomorrow? |
| Kalo udah dateng ngebel ya. | Ring the bell when you arrive. |
| Kalo sempet mau gue beli. | If I get the change I'll buy it. |
| Gue tau kalo itu mahal. | I know it's expensive |
